La selva de Quintana Roo es una zona donde se encuentran árboles de tamaño mediano, se tiene un ambiente caluroso y húmedo. En dicha selva se encuentran diversas especies de plantas y animales.
La selva cuenta con una gran biodiversidad pero ¿Qué está pasando con la Selva de Quintana Roo y el Tren Maya?
Si bien se sabe que la construcción del Tren Maya a traído mucha información y muchos problemas sociales y políticos, pero también se ha provocado problemas muy graves en el medio ambiente, las construcción y destrucción de este ecosistema sin investigación previa y consideración de su magnitud a preocupado a investigadores, empresas y a la sociedad en general.
La construcción del tramo 5 del megaproyecto es un hecho lamentable para el medio ambiente, se ha perdido al ecosistemas que se encontraba en la selva, las construcción de este proyecto aunque en este punto se frenara las consecuencias ya son irreparables.
