Un estudio que se realizó hace 9 años, solicitado por la asociación civil Chogosteros a raíz de la instalación de una empresa en aquel municipio. Se determinó si dicha empresa está afectando el medio ambiente y salud de la población.
El doctor Arturo Torres indicó que está investigación durará 3 años y será realizada por el Conacyt, que es la máxima institución de ciencia en México.
Mencionó, que se busca aportar un proyecto que beneficie a la sociedad y disminuya el impacto ambiental.
También, resaltó que para esta investigación participará un equipo del Colegio de la Frontera Sur, la Universidad Nacional de San Luis Potosí, la Universidad de Ciencia y Arte de Chipas y la Universidad Nacional de Tlaxcala.
“En la región de Jáltipan, Coatzacoalcos y Minatitlán involucrando estudios de salud ambiental, englobando diversos aspectos, como es salud poblacional y de ambiente y lo que haremos es determinar medidas que reviertan esta situación” destacó.
